Image: one of our POW camps filled with captured soldiers of the Christmas regime.

Season's greetings, fellow godless communists. I'm here to disseminate orders from our Supreme Communist Dictator as we once again find ourselves fighting against the very concept of Christmas. As a reminder, by the end of our five-year plan, we plan to be in a position to attack and dethrone God, but this intermediate step is required to fulfil this directive. Our forces in the field have made significant, if gradual, progress since you received your mission update last year. It has been difficult, but we have developed a series of defensive lines to prepare for a counteroffensive out of Lapland that will try and reach the Gulf of Bothnia in an attempt to cut the land bridge that we have set up across Scandinavia.

Currently, we foresee a few major threats. General Santa Clauswitz has been developing many tools in his workshop, including artillery-launched snowballs, barbed tinsel, and reinforced gingerbread armor plating for his tanks and infantry carriers. President Frostyy has made the following public statement: "The socialists who wish to destroy us have no idea what their defenses are about to face. Democracy will always defeat autocracy. Christmas will always triumph over X-mas. The leaders of the axis facing us are all on the naughty list and will be tried for crimes against festivity once this war is over."

Delusional as this may be, the next couple days will be the most dangerous as they stage their counteroffensive, and we need everybody to pitch in and get into defensive positions. We expect this to be the last major push that they will make before collapse. Please report any Christmas trees, mistletoe, or general symbology of the Christmas regime to your superiors.

Over and out.

Holiday Messages from Latin America:

Bolivia | Luis Arce: President Arce vowed to work towards a country with better and greater opportunities for everyone.

On Sunday, President Luis Arce emphasized that the collective effort of all citizens has enabled the recovery of stability, certainty, and hope as the heritage of the Bolivian people.

"Thank you for putting your shoulder and heart into the well-being of our homeland... While this is a time of gathering, it is also a moment for deep reflection and solidarity, which invites us to understand and embrace the needs of others," he said.

"It is crucial that we continue working together to eradicate poverty in all its dimensions, closing economic and social gaps," Arce pointed out, stressing the importance of "continuing to grow, redistribute, and integrate the economic with the social."

"Stability, certainty, and hope are the heritage of the Bolivian people," he added, recalling that his administration focuses efforts on consolidating an import-substitution industrialization policy, which is a fundamental pillar of the Bolivian economic model.

"Thanks to this policy, we will build a broad and diversified economy, addressing the structural problems of the economy comprehensively and focusing on production," Arce said.

The Bolivian president wished his compatriots to regain energy during the festivities "so that in 2024, we can face the challenges that arise and once again emerge successfully in peace, with respect, solidarity, complementarity, and commitment to collective well-being."

"Our government will continue working tirelessly as if it were the first day we assumed the mandate of the people, with the same strength, conviction, and commitment to serve our country in pursuit of better days," he said.

Arce vowed to work with the aim of advancing towards "a Bolivia with better and greater opportunities for everyone, always prioritizing the most vulnerable groups."

Venezuela | Nicolas Maduro:

The Bolivarian government distributed over 13 million toys to children from low-income families.

During the traditional Christmas Eve message, President Nicolas Maduro predicted that Venezuela would make strides in the development of its economy in 2024.

"Venezuela has not stopped and will never stop. We are moving forward with economic recovery and sustained progress, through our own efforts and the unity of all sectors of the national economy. 2024 will be a good year for the homeland," he said.

In a video posted on social media, he summarized the growth achieved in various areas of the economy and the effort made by all economic agents to confront the U.S. coercive measures.

In recent years, Venezuela has generated new sources of income thanks to the Bolivarian Economic Agenda, which has allowed for the diversification of national production.

In 2023, the Venezuelan oil sector experienced a growth of 13 percent in crude oil and gas extraction, leading to a significant increase in exports in the third quarter.

Other achievements of the economic policy include a 3.7 percent growth in trade during the second quarter of the year and an increase in tax revenue by US$4.6 billion from January to October. By the end of 2023, the Bolivarian government aims to raise US$6 billion.

The video posted by Maduro also highlighted that Venezuelans have faced U.S. sanctions with a united and calm attitude, which has allowed for better levels of well-being in the country.

Similar to previous years, the Bolivarian government distributed over 13 million toys on Christmas Eve. The gift-giving to children from low-income families is a policy implemented by Maduro, who seeks to ensure "a moment of happiness" despite the difficulties caused by the U.S. blockade against Venezuela.

Brazil | Lula da Silva:

In his first Christmas message since returning to power, Brazil’s President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva on Sunday called for peace and unity in the face of the “hatred” of the coup plotters who divided the country and tried to overthrow him almost a year ago.

“From that sad January 8, democracy emerged victorious and strengthened. We were able to restore the stained glass windows in record time, but we need to restore peace and unity between friends and family,” said the leftist leader during his speech, broadcast by television, radio and social networks.

The president was alluding to the assault on Brasilia, when thousands of supporters of former far-right president Jair Bolsonaro invaded and destroyed the headquarters of the presidency, Congress and the Supreme Court, with the aim of encouraging a military intervention to overthrow him a week after taking office.

He said the incident was promoted by the “hatred of some” against the rule of law, left “deep scars,” “divided the country,” “separated families” and “put democracy at risk.”

“Fortunately, the attempted coup had the opposite effect: it united all institutions, mobilized political parties above ideologies and provoked a prompt reaction from society,” said the head of state.

To date, the Supreme Court has convicted around 20 of the nearly 2,000 people accused of involvement in the assault, of which 66 are still in prison – either sentenced or in pretrial detention, while the rest are going through the judicial process on the outside.

Lula encouraged Brazilians to “combat fake news, misinformation and hate speech.”

In another veiled criticism of the previous administration, the leader of the Workers’ Party assured that, since he assumed power, “Brazil once again has a real government.”

In this framework, he reviewed the initiatives launched by his executive in 2023, among them the recovery of several social programs that he already promoted during his first two terms, between 2003 and 2010.

He also highlighted the approval of a profound tax reform, and was optimistic about the Brazilian economy for next year.

“Twenty twenty-three was time to plant and rebuild. We plowed the land, we sewed the seeds, we watered every day, we took great care of Brazil and its people. We created all the conditions to have a generous harvest in twenty twenty-four,” he noted.

The financial market expects Brazil to close 2023 with growth very close to 3 percent, in line with the forecasts of the government and the Central Bank, and that it will at least exceed the estimates at the beginning of the year, which were barely 0.6 percent.

Furthermore, inflation has moderated and currently stands at 4.68 percent year-on-year, that is, within the target ceiling for this year (4.75 percent), while unemployment is slightly below 8 percent.

However, the public deficit has skyrocketed to around 8 percent of the Gross Domestic Product, while the debt is close to 75 percent of GDP, according to official data.

In addition, a slowdown is expected for 2024, when the country should grow by 1.5 percent, according to market forecasts.

Faced with this, Lula guaranteed that next year they will “work hard to exceed, once again, all expectations.”

Honduras | Xiomara Castro (You can find her message, in spanish, on her Social Media):

With a message of hope, peace and a summary of the actions carried out during her government, President Xiomara Castro sent a Christmas message to the Honduran people through social networks.

In an audio published on X (formerly Twitter), the Honduran president assured that she is working to have a just and developed country despite the fact that she was handed a battered nation that will not be easy to recover.

"In this time of Christmas and family celebration let us remember the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ. It is an appropriate time to greet each one of you who, like us, are working for a just, developed, peaceful and united country," he began.

"This Honduras mistreated for a long time we knew it was not easy to recover it, but we assumed the commitment and here we are fulfilling it step by step. We rebuilt the institutional framework destroyed by negligence and corruption by making structural reforms, repealing the corrupt trusts and transparently reactivating the State's single treasury. Our first focus was on the most forgotten, the disinherited. Because of an unjust and impoverishing economic model", he affirmed.

She also spoke of the social programs that support the poorest, the bonds and the support to producers.

The president emphasized that work is being done to rescue ENEE, the construction of eight hospitals and the financing of productive roads.

"And we have achieved all this without imposing a single tax on the Honduran people. We have fulfilled the payment of the onerous debt they left us and I inform you that we have already reached more than 91% of budget execution and in an honest way. Today we have the best economic growth and poverty reduction indicators in the Central American region," he said.

Xiomara also sent an embrace to the Honduran people "in this time of the birth of the carpenter's son in Bethlehem, especially those who suffer different hardships and warlike and degrading actions in other parts of the world".

"To tell them that we must not lose hope, soon, new times of peace will fill our hearts. Merry Christmas and a year 2024 of prosperity and joy," she concluded her message.

Peru | Pedro Castillo (Removed from power)

Brothers and sisters of my homeland: this Christmas from Barbadillo prison, I send you a message full of hope and unity in the struggle of the Peruvian people for the general welfare and against the current dictatorship. Despite the adversities, let us keep faith in a future where social justice is a truth and triumphs over oppression. My thoughts are with the families of the fallen who rebelled against the usurper government of Dina Boluarte, with the political prisoners and the wounded.

Merry Christmas, heroic Peruvian people! May the struggle for the development of our country never stop!

Pedro Castillo Terrones.
