The problem with that argument is that shoplifting also negatively impacts revenue and reduces their profit margins.
And that is priced in already.
Exactly. So rising shoplifting trends would increase it more.
What you're missing is that there is no trend. The "shoplifting wave" was capitalist propaganda
And they can't necessarily compensate by rising prices. So I don't see what your point is.
