A "Showerthought" is a simple term used to describe the thoughts that pop into your head while you're doing everyday things like taking a shower, driving, or just daydreaming. The best ones are thoughts that many people can relate to and they find something funny or interesting in regular stuff.

The main character of the The Hydrogen Sonata by Ian Banks features an alien that had modified themselves with an extra set of arms so that she could play a crazy double necked cello.
Looked for this comment and was not disappointed. The Antagonistic Undecagonstring ❤️ (I just finished the book a second time)
