I bet the Freemasons encourage and propagate all the conspiracy theories about them to make themselves look much more mysterious and powerful than they really are. They may have had some influence in previous centuries but it's just old men LARPing at this point.

Yeah, I've visited my local Freemason's lodge when they had a lunch event once. It was the same as any other club really.
But I guess that's just what they wanted me to think!
