Jane Goodall Says 2024 is the ‘Most Consequential Voting Year’ | “Every vote matters, more this year than perhaps any time in history.”

Pretty sure I've heard this every election since Trump got elected. Though, admittedly, not from a noted gorilla scientist.
Having one party interested in ending democracy will do that.
The partial imperfect one that a big chunk of Americans vote in between last week and November.
The United States of America is a bourgeois dictatorship, not a democracy. The only important election of our lives will be the first one after the Workers take control.
I plan on voting Claudia and Karina 2024 and I recommend that others do the same.
There are sometimes local races with only one candidate, but most races have more than one. Doesn't mean that they're all decent choices. But people can and do vote as they choose.
And the consequences of a lot people doing that is that we will end up with Trump ending democracy and leaving us with a fascist state and no more meaningful elections
Had the mob turned into the Senate chamber instead of chasing a black cop during the Jan. 6 insurrection that Trump incited, we really would have ended up with no democracy.
Key difference: that fear was an irrational conspiracy theory. Which way a murderous mob turned while attacking congress was happenstance
Exactly. This sounds eerily similar to Bush v Gore. Trump is more distasteful than Bush, but at least he didn't get us into multiple "forever" wars. And Biden doesn't seem to care much about green policy, at least not compared to Gore.
I'm not voting for Trump, just wanted to agree that the argumentation sounds very similar.
