It sounds like you have a solid idea on how the devs have made mistakes and see how to fix that without changing the overall user-experience/vibe.
It’s kinda weird how the average fan often understands why a thing works more so then the company behind it.
Tbf to the company, it was basically a side project. It just so happens that side project was a cult hit in an otherwise dud catalogue of games.
