Im so confused why this wouldn’t work and I didn’t see anywhere in the article the actual reason. Can anyone explain it better? Can you not just play a vr video file? Is it blocking the sites? I’m just confused.

My understanding is that it allows you to play planar video from a website, but not (yet?) side-loaded videos that are spherical/hemispherical. And the latter is what these people really wanted for this application.

side-loaded videos

Fucking Apple lol, just let people play video files, this should be basic minimum functionality

I mean, they just got type-c. Remember when the first iPhone couldn't send picture texts?

I saw another comment earlier that said its easy to switch on WebXR, which enables VR Porn, it's just disabled by default.

You know, all those other unwholesome, dirty people who aren't me.

They'll just monitor everything you watch or do on it and detect anything NSFW.

I wish this was a /s but I can definitely see it happening since they'd have to ban the whole Internet to keep any sites with NSFW content from playing

Nah They already have quest and that unit blows up high rez porn shorts first time you boot it. It's too lucrative they just want the optics here

Like most safari complaints from nerds you’ll just have to enable it in the advanced settings.
