That is what you get when you use the official app.
Oh that's really annoying. All of the obvious hate for the official app aside, why would Reddit think it's okay to take content and plaster a banner on it? I imagine people who uploaded nudes or original art were pissed.
Meanwhile, 3rd party apps let you adjust playback speed and download videos.
Once you post something to Reddit it's their content, and apps have been doing it for a while, 9gag and ifunny spring to mind.
