I always thought the makers of Pokemon was a company called…. Pokemon. Like how Nintendo makes nintendo products. So… TIL!
I mean, you're fairly close. "The Pokémon Company" publishes most pokémon stuff in Japan (though the mainline games are developed by GameFreak and are distributed worldwide by Nintendo).
