Ah yes, famously conservative media like One Piece, Ghost in the Shell, Gundam, Princess Mononoke, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, and Cowboy Bebop

Shaming people without internal dialogue is ableism.

Shaming conservatives is good.

Is not having an internal dialog a disability?

Also never understood the concept of someone not having an internal dialog, what's the difference between an "internal dialog" and, like, regular imagination? Pretty sure all humans have an imagination. I always suspected people who say they don't have an internal dialog just don't understand what an internal dialog is and assumed it has to be straight up like Disco Elysium skills talking to you.

Idk though I'm not a neurologist.

Its a form of neurodivergence for sure, but I doubt its limiting in any way minus maybe socially if people find out and due to mere gross ignorance.

Internal dialogue is more your subvoice/self talk ex 'I am going to the store' that plays in your mind, those without it don't simply have it but still go through all the motions, planning, etc. They don't have an auditory-speech overlay to thought, its instant, sometimes they have a visual/tactile suboverlay.

So, they can still imagine and hold conversations to a depth of those with it, its just another form of being, they can still absolutely reflect on life while people with ceaseless internal dialogue can still be thoughtless jerks.

People with aphantasia can def be creative, they pull more from tactile then which is a more 'feeling' than 'mind's eye' sort creating, 'my hands just moved in a way and then creative magic happened' vs 'I sort of pictured what I wanted then tried to make it'. Aphantasia can be very heart-wrenching since society is so visually-focused.

I guess this stuff is just hard for me to mentally visualize, like generally when I think about something I'm not literally having a dialog play out in my head, unless I"m actively trying to create a dialog like if I'm writing a fictional story, but if I think "I should go to the store" that's more just a collection of thoughts and motivations being cobbled together into a simple actionable item that can be translated into spoken or written English.

IDK, I guess the issue with all of this is we really can't see into other's minds so we kind of have to rely on their descriptions of how they think, but it's hard to describe your own mind I guess.

Right, then we tend to assume our mind is the standard when really we're all different.

Trick is to call up memories of other senses to make it a little easier to process. There are seriously people out there that have full on rpg like dialog voiced by themselves while they think(the 2 things are linked), ,nonstop like a bad comedy, and when you tell them 'nah, not for me' they get weirded out mildly at best, have some fun names to call you for not sharing that experience, others get a constant stream of images/feelings, many have nothing, its only this 'sensed' thought on demand, all are legit.
