Did this really need a reboot?

I tried posting news about this film over at The Crow sub Reddit, years ago. I might as well have told everyone some insult about their mother's.

This negativity towards the reboot was so strong. I can understand the sentiment but a new film doesn't affect how you feel about the original. You can ignore it and move on.

I find reboots lazy most of the time unless they do something different to keep it interesting. I'm still going to keep an open mind and I'm looking forward to the first trailer. If it opens in June, they should be any moment now.
