Paul Kerouac is suing Dunkin’ Donuts after he says a toilet at a Florida outlet exploded while he was doing his business, leaving him traumatized and coated head-to-toe in poop.

Kerouac said the stomach-turning blast on Jan. 6, 2022, left him “covered with debris, including human feces and urine,” according to the lawsuit filed in Florida’s 9th Judicial District on Wednesday.

“Following the explosion of the toilet plaintiff emerged from the men’s room and sought assistance from employees and managers of [the] defendant’s business to clean himself, as he remained covered with human feces and urine after emerging from the men’s room,” the complaint says.

Making matters worse, Kerouac claims that workers at the Orange County coffee shop conceded they were aware there were “problems with the toilet.”

He’s asking the coffee giant to fork over $50,000 and legal fees, claiming that he now “requires mental health care and counseling as a direct result of the trauma he experiences in the restroom at defendant’s building, and from the continuing trauma following the event.”

Kerouac says the messy mishap left him suffering “bodily injury and psychological damages,” as well as “permanent and significant emotional injury, mental anguish, loss of the capacity for the enjoyment of life, expense of medical care and treatment.”
