What else are people gonna choose? Third party? Hell, they're already dismantling what limited, farcical "democracy" exists in many people's eyes by conducting lawfare against and trying to prevent their primary political opponent (Trump) from running.

Not disagreeing with anything you said, but I expect beatings will continue until morale improves (or something explodes). There is no political will amongst the establishment for anything but a continued march to destruction- unrestrained imperialist hegemonic behavior abroad, neoliberal societal destruction at home.
