Nobody is gonna have the same iron grip on the base he does because they relate to him because he has zero shame and will say literally any stupid shit then double down on it forever.
It requires you to have the opposite of political savy, nobody else is half the chud whisperer he is partially because the chuds can tell when somebody is just pretending to be a dumb shit racist and now they've had the genuine article they will accept no substitutes.

the problem is there is zero chance he picks someone as weird and unpredictable as himself. he's absolutely going to pick whichever standard conservative freak is the most adept at groveling and ass-kissing.
Ramaswamy is pretty damn predictable, IMO. And he did a great job politically at making the case for himself without implying he would be better than trump. He killed the debates, objectively. I'd bet he's high on Trump's list.
(obligatory: he's a fascist and I would like him in the gulag, saying he's politically savvy doesn't mean I agree with anything he said.)
