Right? Its like saying Jeffrey Skilling went to jail because of stocks. Bitcoin is just a system doing what it was designed to do. Criminals gonna crime regardless of the medium.

You're closer, but he didn't use Bitcoin. The scam was a shitcoin he had made up.
As far as I know, the FTX token wasn't even the main problem. He did all kinds of shady stuff, mishandling customer funds, illegal business loans, etc.
