This kind of fits with my guess a couple years ago. Basically, violent crime seemed to spike around COVID, which could be due to WFH and lockdowns or just side effects of COVID, and that has worked its way out and now we're getting back to "normal" crime.

I don't know if that's a valid takeaway at all, so I'm interested to hear others' takes.
