The main weapon that is causing Ukraine grief at the moment is the glide bombs, it's actually Russia's brand new stealth subsonic cruise missile, the kh-69, or x-69 in English. It's a stealth version of the kh-59. It's stealthy construction and shape along with ability to follow the terrain at altitudes as low as 20m allows it to evade radar detection by air defence systems, along with a 400km range and ability to be launched by most Russian aircraft, makes it formidable. It puts almost all of Ukraine within firing range without Russian jets having to leave the airspace of Russia or Belarus. It's the weapon that his hit most of power stations in Ukraine. A brand new weapon that was in testing as recently as September 2023. It is absolutely not a crude or cheap weapon, the Ukrainians say that it is harder to defend against than the Kinzhal.

According to Ukrainian sources, that power station mentioned in this article was not destroyed by a glide bomb, but in part by a kh-69 missile. So I don't know why this article is talking about cheap and crude glide bombs when a state of the art weapon was in fact used. It seems they want to distract from the latest Russian weapons that have finished testing and hit the battlefield, such as the hypersonic zircon cruise missile, and the stealthy subsonic kh-69 cruise missile.

The United States has had them for over a decade, see the AGM-158 family of weapons.
