Israel-Palestine Conflict

If you have evidence of Israeli crimes and atrocities that you wish to preserve, there is a thread here in which to do so.

Sources on the fighting in Palestine against Israel. In general, CW for footage of battles, explosions, dead people, and so on:

UNRWA daily-ish reports on Israel's destruction and siege of Gaza and the West Bank.

English-language Palestinian Marxist-Leninist twitter account. Alt here.
English-language twitter account that collates news (and has automated posting when the person running it goes to sleep).
Arab-language twitter account with videos and images of fighting.
English-language (with some Arab retweets) Twitter account based in Lebanon. - Telegram is @IbnRiad.
English-language Palestinian Twitter account which reports on news from the Resistance Axis. - Telegram is @EyesOnSouth.
English-language Twitter account in the same group as the previous two. - Telegram here.

English-language PalestineResist telegram channel.
More telegram channels here for those interested.

Various sources that are covering the Ukraine conflict are also covering the one in Palestine, like Rybar.

Russia-Ukraine Conflict

Examples of Ukrainian Nazis and fascists
Examples of racism/euro-centrism during the Russia-Ukraine conflict

Sources:

Defense Politics Asia's youtube channel and their map. Their youtube channel has substantially diminished in quality but the map is still useful. Moon of Alabama, which tends to have interesting analysis. Avoid the comment section.
Understanding War and the Saker: reactionary sources that have occasional insights on the war.
Alexander Mercouris, who does daily videos on the conflict. While he is a reactionary and surrounds himself with likeminded people, his daily update videos are relatively brainworm-free and good if you don't want to follow Russian telegram channels to get news. He also co-hosts The Duran, which is more explicitly conservative, racist, sexist, transphobic, anti-communist, etc when guests are invited on, but is just about tolerable when it's just the two of them if you want a little more analysis.
On the ground: Patrick Lancaster, an independent and very good journalist reporting in the warzone on the separatists' side.

Unedited videos of Russian/Ukrainian press conferences and speeches.

Pro-Russian Telegram Channels:

Again, CW for anti-LGBT and racist, sexist, etc speech, as well as combat footage.

https://t.me/aleksandr_skif ~ DPR's former Defense Minister and Colonel in the DPR's forces. Russian language.
https://t.me/Slavyangrad ~ A few different pro-Russian people gather frequent content for this channel (~100 posts per day), some socialist, but all socially reactionary. If you can only tolerate using one Russian telegram channel, I would recommend this one.
https://t.me/s/levigodman ~ Does daily update posts.
https://t.me/patricklancasternewstoday ~ Patrick Lancaster's telegram channel.
https://t.me/gonzowarr ~ A big Russian commentator.
https://t.me/rybar ~ One of, if not the, biggest Russian telegram channels focussing on the war out there. Actually quite balanced, maybe even pessimistic about Russia. Produces interesting and useful maps.
https://t.me/epoddubny ~ Russian language.
https://t.me/boris_rozhin ~ Russian language.
https://t.me/mod_russia_en ~ Russian Ministry of Defense. Does daily, if rather bland updates on the number of Ukrainians killed, etc. The figures appear to be approximately accurate; if you want, reduce all numbers by 25% as a 'propaganda tax', if you don't believe them. Does not cover everything, for obvious reasons, and virtually never details Russian losses.
https://t.me/UkraineHumanRightsAbuses ~ Pro-Russian, documents abuses that Ukraine commits.

Pro-Ukraine Telegram Channels:

Almost every Western media outlet.
https://discord.gg/projectowl ~ Pro-Ukrainian OSINT Discord.
https://t.me/ice_inii ~ Alleged Ukrainian account with a rather cynical take on the entire thing.

I was confused by that too. As I understand it. Gustavo Petro proposed to Maduro and the opposition leader that if, say, Maduro won, he would grant amnesty to the opposition and not arrest or persecute them. And if the opposition wins, they will grant amnesty to the Bolivaristas and won't change many of the social reforms that the PSUV has made in 26 years of rule.

And they want the Venezuelan people to vote to show that Maduro voters and opposition voters agree on this and that there will be no political violence in Venezuela after the election. And that would put pressure on the US to remove the sanctions because Venezuela would be seen as a "real" democracy or whatever.

Petro called it the "Democratic Pact". Recently, the opposition in Venezuela has been openly anti-communist and promoted that it would arrest Maduro and the Bolivaristas if the opposition won the elections. And Maduro reacted by repressing the opposition, which resulted in more sanctions from the US. Petro, and Lula, I suppose, want a guarantee that the opposition won't persecute the Bolivaristas and will let them participate in the elections freely if the opposition wins. And the same goes for the Bolivaristas, should they win.

What does petro think? that the anti-communists will obey a piece of paper when they get power? When have anti-communists ever followed the rule of law or previous agreements?

I think this has less to do with anti-communists/liberals. It's more of an argument for the US to remove its sanctions. If Maduro and the opposition sign this document, the US will be in a very bad diplomatic position, as it will be seen as not complying with its own agreements, since all the US asked for was elections and the participation of opposition candidates.

If Maduro wins this election (which the US agreed it's free and fair), the US will have no strong argument for sanctioning Venezuela. And that would be a political, economic and ideological victory for Maduro and the leftists of Latin America. And even if the US imposes sanctions again, Latin American countries, Spain and Norway will still trade with Venezuela, because there will no longer be the notion that Venezuela is a dictatorship and that Maduro is a dictator.

Furthermore, I doubt that the UN and EU sanctions will continue, even if Maduro wins. Removing the sanctions on travel and oil would really improve Venezuela's economy. This deal is very strange, but let's also remember that the Bolivarians are the majority of Venezuela's army and population. If a right-wing government wins, the situation will be similar to that of Nicaragua during the 1990s until 2005. The Sandinistas held enormous political power within society and the armed forces, but followed the agreement to allow the neoliberals to rule, but under a leash.

This lasted until the Sandinistas won the presidential elections in 2005. At first, they kept all the agreements with the US and even with Taiwan. The US even trained the Nicaraguan armed forces and sold them weapons. Then the US, under Biden, decided to get really aggressive with Nicaragua when China offered them to build their own canal. Ortega cut off all relations with Taiwan and the US.

Whatever they're doing, Petro and Lula are well-known negotiators and know how diplomacy works and how to deal with the US. Petro negotiated the end of the conflict with the FARCS, and Lula had the whole nuclear deal with Iran and was behind the resolution of the Venezuela-US crisis of 2006/7. Lula asked Bush to tell Condoleezza Rice to stop antagonizing Venezuela and let the Venezuelans solve the problem themselves. Bush listened to Lula and, in the end, Chávez and the opposition reached an agreement and recognized that Chávez won the 2006 elections.
