MODERATORS
I hate that our societies are so superficial. It's a huge advantage to look good. Its like a superpower that some people have. And it's really unfair, because it gives them literally all the best things in life with no effort.
That being said, I think gene manipulation will allow parents to make their kid good looking in the future, so everyone will be good looking.
Rich people will have good looking kids.
They very often already do. Being rich means they don't have to rely on alcohol.
I mean, there's sober ugly people too. And rich alcoholics. If rich kids are prettier it's probably down to cosmetic medicine.
Personality goes a long way
Unfortunately it is a part of evolution to avoid the sick, disabled and ugly. It is very hard to make millions of people work against their instincts, but I think we are generally headed in a good direction.
