I've never played a Homeworld game, but I've been mildly interested for 15 or twenty years. What game should I try first?
There's the Homeworld Remastered collection that has 1-2 with HD graphics. You can start with 1 for the story but it's pretty clunky and kinda hard because of it's clunkiness or just watch YouTube videos of story. 2 was a pretty big upgrade in play centered around more advanced fleet tactics.
The real big release is Homeworld 3 next month and it looks like it's got some really unique play and multiplayer. One of the few games I've preordered (CE) recently.
I didn't think 1 was bad once I got used to it. It is just really different.
Yeah for sure it's still great.
Thank you, that's helpful.
The remaster of the second game is my top pick, followed by the original first game
If they have sorted the ship issues in the remaster of 1 then thats the natural start, otherwise I would watch a lore dump from game one and then start the 2 remaster:)
