A coupl years back I bought binoculars with the sole (soul?) purpose of watching birds. Seven years ago I didn't give a shit.

You were right the first time. Sole means only; soul is a religious concept; sole means the bottom of your shoe: sole is a fish

Just keep in mind that the one with U is the one that's YOU.

Concepts like "soul music" work fine with this, because they are about an untameable essence of the self.

But if I've forgotten an exception, do please point it out, dear lemmings.
