Or worse yet, a shell that doesn't work. Since sometimes the shells get damaged, so one crab throws away a perfectly good shell, and the one next in line takes it, leaving a crack den filled with thermites behind.
Thermites?? What kind of shell we talkin' here? Artillery?
"crack den" didn't raise an eyebrow but "thermites" did? You found 50% of the jokes at least
Meh, "crack den" is a pretty common way of describing a ratty household, which is what OP was alluding to. Thermites on the other hand... Very uncommon.
