There are no details here, but I'm going to bet the guy probably had a medical issue which killed him and caused him to crash. That seems more likely than the alternatives given what is and isn't in the article.
Edit: no one has any information. You want to talk about it, that's my two cents. You want to wait on accurate information, this shouldn't even be posted, because it just fuels low information speculation like this.
"There's no information yet so I'm going to make up an explanation which is the most likely scenario given that there's no information yet."
Brilliant.
I'm going to bet the guy manifested a car with his mental powers in an already-crashed state and then mind-wiped the guards and any witnesses into believing they saw it crash after altering the CCTV footage with his will.
Lol yep. It cracks me up when people think just because they aren't going to one extreme or the other with their speculation that they aren't still engaging in wild speculation. That's not how it works.
Shouldn't you delete this post since there's nothing to be discussed about the situation?
I'm sure you thought you just made an excellent point.
About as excellent as your post that nobody is allowed to discuss for some odd reason.
They specifically said they were speculating.
How could it ever be helpful to make up random guesses about a news article?
Not everything has to be helpful
This is an Internet comments section. If you're expecting everything to be 100% productive discussion, you're going to have a bad time.
They actually didn't "specifically" say that. At all. Until editing their comment an hour after being called out.
They said "I'm going to bet". That's literal speculation.
Okay so you clearly do not know what the words specific and literal mean. Got it.
Apparently not, please enlighten me. I am eager to hear your definitions.
Yea because a medical issue is fucking wild.
Yes. Read my edit.
Nah. This whole discussion is pointless. I don't need to argue with you about your imagination.
I wonder what the odds are? I think would be interesting given all the stochastic terrorism that's been bandied about.
Yeah, I wouldn't bet the farm or anything. I had to dig up details elsewhere. I read that it was at a high rate of speed and at 10:30 PM. The traffic in DC during the day (what I was picturing) makes lethal speeds unlikely, but at that time on a weekend maybe it's just drunk or otherwise reckless driving.
At any rate, no use jumping to stochastic terrorism without any details to support that. Still might be but I feel like we'd have heard something by now. I really hate the 24 hour news cycle that encourages this kind of zero information story just in case details come out later and this traffic incident somehow becomes important.
I, for one, thought this was a reasonable take.
What else do people expect you to comment? Like...
Or...
?
What discussion can a post like this garner except speculation? And to preface your speculation with an acknowledgement that the story has no real details... seems fair to me.
Yeah, and it doesn't help when the OP is using their own secret rulebook for everything, I guess. I'm not sure what the point of having a discussion section is for if they don't like people discussing a post.
