Wait, are you guys against hamas?

[-] TrashGoblin@hexbear.net 35 points 6 months ago

Critical support. I think just about everyone would be happier if a secular group like the PFLP or Fatah were leading the resistance in Gaza, but we support the resistance no matter what organization is leading it.

[-] What_Religion_R_They@hexbear.net 23 points 6 months ago

I would not be happy with Fatah anywhere.

[-] combat_brandonism@hexbear.net 2 points 6 months ago

Fatah are compradors they can pound sand

[-] TreadOnMe@hexbear.net 31 points 6 months ago* (last edited 6 months ago)

Can't speak for OP, but the community as a whole generally is not against hamas.

However, at this point, anything that ends the conflict, the apartheid, and brings at least some part of the Israeli government to justice is probably worth it.

All I can say is good luck getting either party to comply with a conviction. This is some absolute hot air signalling from the UN, as per usual. You'd think after the IOF had shelled UN affiliated aid workers they would have issued something the next day.

[-] FuckyWucky@hexbear.net 44 points 6 months ago

ICC isn't part of the UN and is considered much more pro-West. The fact that even they are going after a western country shows how much Israel has fallen.

[-] ShimmeringKoi@hexbear.net 28 points 6 months ago

I don't know, is it the country they're going after? It looks to me like they're trying to make this completely Netanyahu's fault lately, like an ablative mass murder shield to distract from how this is the inevitable result of the entity's colonial policy.

[-] LENINSGHOSTFACEKILLA@hexbear.net 24 points 6 months ago

Pretty sure this is the route everyone is going to take by the end - "It was just one bad apple (Bibi), and here he is receiving his slap on the wrist, so tomorrow we can replace him and everyone will pretend justice was served"

[-] FuckyWucky@hexbear.net 16 points 6 months ago

"On the basis of evidence collected and examined by my Office, I have reasonable grounds to believe that Benjamin NETANYAHU, the Prime Minister of Israel, and Yoav GALLANT, the Minister of Defence of Israel, bear criminal responsibility for the following war crimes and crimes against humanity committed on the territory of the State of Palestine (in the Gaza strip) "

[-] TreadOnMe@hexbear.net 24 points 6 months ago

Thanks for the note, completely missed the acronym!

[-] FuckyWucky@hexbear.net 22 points 6 months ago

No but I'll be happy if Bibi ends up in jail (or dead in a helicopter crash).

[-] JayTwo@hexbear.net 23 points 6 months ago

I don't think Mossad is gonna coincidence their own helicopters

[-] SacredExcrement@hexbear.net 12 points 6 months ago

Oppressed people can do no wrong when trying to shake off the yoke of their oppressors

Are you?

[-] 2Password2Remember@hexbear.net 17 points 6 months ago

obviously they're surprised that someone is getting upbeats for saying "let's goooooo" about a post in which hamas and israeli leaders are being treated equally. don't be hostile for no reason

Death to America

[-] SacredExcrement@hexbear.net 10 points 6 months ago

Not being hostile, I'm just genuinely curious

We do still have quite a few people coming in from other instances who have a medley of views, some of which are quite liberal

[-] FreudianCafe@lemmy.ml 6 points 6 months ago

No, i support hamas and their armed struggle is the only viable option for the liberation of palestinian people
