Yeah, because Americans are prudes and are afraid of human bodies, sex and abortions.

[-] FlyingSquid@lemmy.world 2 points 5 months ago

I'm not afraid of any of those things, I just don't want to see some old guy's low-hanging ballsack.

[-] Aux@lemmy.world 1 points 5 months ago

Right... And you also don't want to see abortions.

[-] FlyingSquid@lemmy.world 3 points 5 months ago

No, I'd be fine with seeing that. I've edited many medical videos.

Please don't speak on my behalf.

[-] Aux@lemmy.world 0 points 5 months ago

Ok, so abortions are better than dongs for you. That's a progress above an average murican!

[-] FlyingSquid@lemmy.world 2 points 5 months ago

The freedom to have an abortion is, indeed, much more important to me than the freedom to be naked on a beach.

Why isn't that true with you?

[-] Aux@lemmy.world -1 points 5 months ago

Well, you see, the problem is that they all have the same importance. Unless you're a prude.

[-] FlyingSquid@lemmy.world 1 points 5 months ago

Sorry... you're saying that a woman having the freedom to not have her body used by another person, to not not go through nine months of torture for something she never wanted and, most importantly, not risk dying has the same importance as being able to walk around on a beach without swimming trunks?

You seriously believe that the right for you to show everyone your balls is of equal importance to the right of someone to avoid an unnecessary death?

[-] Aux@lemmy.world -1 points 5 months ago
[-] FlyingSquid@lemmy.world 1 points 5 months ago

Please explain why forcing someone to die is the same level of human rights crime as forcing someone to wear shorts on the beach.

[-] Aux@lemmy.world -1 points 5 months ago

Please explain why being a prude is such a schtick for you?

[-] FlyingSquid@lemmy.world 1 points 5 months ago

That's not an explanation. Sounds like you backed yourself into a corner and are resorting to namecalling because of it.

[-] Aux@lemmy.world -1 points 5 months ago

I mean that was the original point - you people are backwards prudes. And you're a walking example.

[-] FlyingSquid@lemmy.world 1 points 5 months ago

You are calling us prudes because we think that doing something that could kill people is worse than you not being allowed to show the world your junk.

So if it's prudish of me to value women's lives over your penis, guilty. Now it's time to ask yourself why your penis has as much value as a woman's life.

[-] Aux@lemmy.world 0 points 5 months ago

You still don't understand, do you?

[-] FlyingSquid@lemmy.world 0 points 5 months ago

You still haven't explained it to me despite me asking you to multiple times, so no. I don't. And that would be your fault.

[-] Aux@lemmy.world 0 points 5 months ago
[-] FlyingSquid@lemmy.world 0 points 5 months ago* (last edited 5 months ago)

It seems less like I don't understand and more like you can't explain why your penis is worth more than a woman's life.

[-] Aux@lemmy.world 0 points 5 months ago

You're making way too many assumptions and imagining things. Are all prudes that delusional?

[-] FlyingSquid@lemmy.world 0 points 5 months ago

Still not an explanation for why your penis is worth more than a woman's life.

Maybe you just hate women?

[-] Aux@lemmy.world 1 points 5 months ago

Are you talking to a mirror now?

[-] FlyingSquid@lemmy.world 1 points 5 months ago

Nope, because I'm not the one who suggested that my penis is worth more than a woman's life.

That would be you.

[-] Aux@lemmy.world 1 points 5 months ago

Sorry, but it's you who's suggesting crazy prude and sexist ideas here. And it's not amusing anymore, it's plain offensive.

[-] FlyingSquid@lemmy.world 1 points 5 months ago

And yet, I'd say people seem far more offended by your suggestion that your penis is worth more than a woman's life.

[-] Aux@lemmy.world 1 points 5 months ago

No, there are too many American prudes here and the truth hurts. Otherwise we wouldn't have a discussion at all.

[-] FlyingSquid@lemmy.world 1 points 5 months ago

I see, so you think most people in this world agree with you that your penis is worth more than a woman's life.

[-] mightyfoolish@lemmy.world -1 points 5 months ago* (last edited 5 months ago)

I'm trying to make sense of this comment. All I can gather is wherever you are from only bisexual men are allowed to have abortions... Sorry @FlyingSquid@lemmy.world , no abortions for you until you want to see an old man's dingle berries.

[-] Aux@lemmy.world 1 points 5 months ago

You can't make sense because that squid person tries their best to derail the conversation.

[-] mightyfoolish@lemmy.world 1 points 5 months ago* (last edited 5 months ago)

Squid made an observation about the differences of the beaches in America and France. You called him a prude (which is fine) but then brought up abortions. It's a trend I have been seeing on this site lately (last time the topic was "if cars are too loud these days"):

I think you are wrong about [insert random topic]. Why are you so anti-choice?

[-] Aux@lemmy.world 1 points 5 months ago

I didn't call him a prude, I called Americans prudes. Because they are. And the things I listed are some of the reasons why Americans are prudes.

The trend is that Americans can't stand that they're wrong and will steer the conversation into an abyss trying to win the argument.
