The east is creating hope for the world after centuries of the west trying to destroy it.
China? They've been subject to colonialism and imperialism since the 19th century, it only ended with the foundation of the PRC.
Do you actually think the current government is a continuation of imperialist China? Feudal China ended with the revolution. Mao was an anti-imperialist. The PRC is built from ideological opposition to all forms of imperialism.
So the existence of a state is evidence of imperialism? Even if the creation of that state brought a deliberate, ideologically-driven and measurable end to the imperial and feudal systems that preceded it?
Lol what definition of imperialism are you using to make this accusation.
imperialism is when emperors, and even in that framework china is not imperialist.
You may as well point fingers at all the various Islamic, Indian, African, or even indigenous "Amerindian" empires then. But your whataboutism ignores the fact that these empires were vastly different from the system of imperialism as practiced by the west.
It's like saying "black people enslaved other blacks too," or "what about the Arab slave trade," or "indigenous peoples killed each other all the time." Sure, but the specifics of how the west did it are a world of difference, and you're a racist for saying it that way.
And you think this has what to do with modern China? This is like criticising the USSR for Tsarism. You realise the CPC overthrew the previous system? And when it did, it had the cultural revolution to overcome the trappings of that system, for which it is regularly criticised?

Japan for sure, but China is a bit more complex I think, China for sure is inserted into the capitalist system and plays by market rules so they buy cheap from exploited countries, but to my knowledge they are not really involved into deliberate action to keep places impoverished, and they are dealing with poverty inside their country as no one else on the planet so I think at the very least we have a thing or two to learn with them.
But you are lumping together very dissimilar things, like saying that a mass murderer and a thief, neither are innocent technically, and you saying that they are both the same is a misguided perspective. To say that China is just as bad as the US, is more than naïve, you may believe that China is not the role model for us to follow, for sure that's a very reasonable perspective, but claiming that there is no improvement by changing the world's hegemony from the US to China is to ignore reality, China never did any coup on any rival country, China does not finance genocide and never did, China does condition loans to a destructive control over the countries finances like the IMF does. I think you are misguided thinking that both sides are equally bad, there are issues for sure on either side, but I think that the differences are many and should be accounted for, and most important of all, suggest a great improvement with the forces of the east.
You are throwing empty claims, which war China funded? How is what China doing in any material way compared with the warmongering history of the US, you are throwing a false equivalence here, of the most egregious, I do understand not considering China an ally, is not necessarily my opinion, but I get it, but bunching them up with the US and saying they're just as bad, is again exceedingly naïve in my opinion.
Can we just ban this cracker already? Look at their comment history, they provide nothing but brain damage. (also, I think there's a basis to do so off of their clear anti-communism and imperialist apologia)
