Nah, I think it means that the kid is not his so they are getting a divorce.
Honestly, I understood that. I'm just making fun of the fact he didn't say "I'm your son". He's still "son" even if he isn't his. Except if he's daughter.

He's a trans boy and his dad is divorcing his mum because dad is transphobic and doesn't want to live with a trans person.
