Sync is the only thing (or Apollo) that will now make me use Lemmy at all because I can't stand how crappy it looks and works without it.
Same, I'm sorry but you can't tell me any of the FOSS apps feel as good to use. People recommend WefWef and it's a basic web app that feels horrible to use but like it because "it reminds them of RiF or Apollo", but then complain about Apollo for Lemmy?
FOSS apps are usually a hot garbage when it comes to UI/UX and I don't find their open sourceness appealing enough to torment myself with using them. Long live the Sync.
