My biggest gripe with journalists is that they think they're journalists

The schmuck who wrote this garbage probably truly believes that it's a piece of "unbiased" and "objective" reporting.

I've met enough of these idiots to know that, as a profession, they truly believe there's such a thing as objective reporting and that they're doing it - or coming as close to it as possible. I've had so many discussions with these idiots which boils down to me just repeating myself because they can't seem to get the basic fact that "when you report on something you have to make decisions on what to include and exclude, and just by doing this basic thing you are no longer presenting an objective retelling of events. Any depiction of the truth requires that you decide how to depict it".

If you wanna bring up how money or politics influences it, forget it. They'll go full whatabou- oh wait no it isn't that, because we're the uh... The good guys... They'll point out how China is totally worse actually. Then they'll want a discussion about what censorship really is, but fuck me if I wanna have a discussion about censorship with an idiot who doesn't understand that "when you write about something, you're making a decision just by way of how you write it." Especially when I've read these idiots articles about protests that got teargassed and they all contact the chief of police for a quote. It's insane how often I've read the phrase "the police was forced to deploy sticks and teargas."

Journalists are the dumbest people around and they really suck because they think they're smart and enlightened.
If you were enlightenedas a journalist you'd start out by accepting you're a propagandist, that's your job. Only by accepting the actual state of affairs will you be able to address them. I fucking hate journos, dumb smug brickheaded pieces of shit. It should be legal to drown them

Rules:

-- PLEASE KEEP POST TITLES INFORMATIVE --

-- Overly editorialized titles, particularly if they link to opinion pieces, may get your post removed. --

-- All posts must include a link to their source. Screenshots are fine IF you include the link in the post body. --

-- If you are citing a twitter post as news please include not just the twitter.com in your links but also nitter.net (or another Nitter instance). There is also a Firefox extension that can redirect Twitter links to a Nitter instance: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/libredirect/ or archive them as you would any other reactionary source using e.g. https://archive.today . Twitter screenshots still need to be sourced or they will be removed --

-- Mass tagging comm moderators across multiple posts like a broken markov chain bot will result in a comm ban--

-- Repeated consecutive posting of reactionary sources, fake news, misleading / outdated news, false alarms over ghoul deaths, and/or shitposts will result in a comm ban.--

-- Using April 1st as an excuse to post fake headlines, like the resurrection of Kissinger while he is still fortunately dead, will result in the poster being thrown in the gamer gulag and be sentenced to play and beat trashy mobile games like 'Raid: Shadow Legends' in order to be rehabilitated back into general society. --
