Because some dumbasses think that since hating women is bad it must mean hating men is good. It’s really weird.

[-] glizzyguzzler@lemmy.blahaj.zone 5 points 2 months ago

I’m lost on where y’all are getting this from, it’s obv this is a girlboss hierarchy of needs verging on femcel

One of those needs is an unhinged relationship, which bucks the femcel label but still squarely falls into “spring breakers” territory

[-] ayyy@sh.itjust.works 4 points 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago)

Your statement implies that both “femcel” and “incel” (I guess we’re gendering everything now…) are a good thing to be embraced and encouraged. I and the vast majority of humans posit that this is fucked up, divisive, us-vs.-them, inflammatory, evil stupidity that can be entirely circumvented by taking care of yourself and your community and just talking to like one other fleshy meatbag IRL.

[-] glizzyguzzler@lemmy.blahaj.zone 4 points 2 months ago

Femcel is a parody of incel; while making light and accepting being feminine while not being “perfect and quiet and nice” in an often exaggerated manner to the point of the “forever alone, terminally online female” idea. See https://lemmy.blahaj.zone/c/femcelmemes - you’ll see “verging on feral” is a common trope - but being your messy self is a key thread between the me-mes.

This isn’t some gendered divisive thing you are cooking up in your head; incel is gendered male by default. Just how it is. Femcel is a parody of it.

And clearly, part of being your messy self is getting into a relationship and absolutely trashing the other person emotionally because you’re the hot mess express.

Gotta get Peter griffin in here to explain the me-mes!

[-] ayyy@sh.itjust.works 3 points 2 months ago

Yea that doesn’t sound like othering, us-vs-them divisiveness at all.

[-] glizzyguzzler@lemmy.blahaj.zone 2 points 2 months ago

Ay fuck your bad faith shit, this me-me is aligned towards feminine-presenting people (hence the call out for pockets) who want to date men. Sucks it ain’t you, but it’s roughly half the world, so it’s for a goodly amount of people to enjoy

I’m guessing you don’t know what “spring breakers” meant, listen to the song by XCX to get a vibe for this if you actually want to try to have a laugh at this me-me

[-] ayyy@sh.itjust.works 2 points 2 months ago

Ah, so it seems you agree with my assessment of your attitude that started this conversation in the first place. “some dumbasses think that since hating women is bad it must mean hating men is good.”

Y’all got no sense of humor? This is an over-the-top, unhinged parody of a triangle of needs. I ain’t getting why you’re stuck in time on “ruining some pathetic boy’s life” when “>12 hr screen time” isn’t even physically possible.

Shit happens in relationships, sorry your heart got broken by someone with lil daggers in their cute lil pockets

This is a me-me, you can’t “win”

Edit; see this poetic statement as well and tryhard https://lemmy.blahaj.zone/post/15969707/10460784

[-] TriflingToad@lemmy.world 1 points 2 months ago

there is no way you are legitimately trying to justify ruining someones life as a good thing

When you're accustomed to privilege, the liberation of others feels like oppression.

Two genders, men and political Two races, white and political.

So yeah, you're not coming off as defensive or entitled at all /s

[-] jebuz@lemmy.world 3 points 2 months ago

I watched the whole video and it just yells I read a 2010 Kotaku article about gamergate and a 7th grade English class. Why was this video relevant to this?

Liberation of whom through these memes? Femcels? The folks who are choosing to associate with incels? How are they being oppressed? Do they have to shower and stop living in their fantasies? Is that the oppression?

The person uptop made it seem to be a whole movement and inspiring. When it just sounds like it's a bunch of keyboard NEETs who don't talk to people. Wait yeah, it's just incels.

Nevermind, move along.

Heh, foresaw you getting hung up on "liberation"

It's not complicated nor is it this profound thing: https://lemmy.blahaj.zone/post/16007006

It's commisseration, really Can you just let some traumatized autisitic transfems (and others) have that?

No? Yes? Doesnt matter. Thats the point of the video, it's not about you. Thats also part of the point of parody'ing incels (which as an aside: the concept of invcel was originally coined by a woman and was meant to be a supportive, all-gender, friendly place -- before the right co-opted it.

No, i'm posting this for the next tranzqueer who comes along, who might [like I had] be unaware of these things and tend to gravitate to the Narrative of the Johns without reminders that there is so, so much more nuance, and meaning to be found in the world, beyond the limits of what is scripted, shot, edited, produced and published for the target audience composed of Stanleys & Johns.

So thanks for reading. I did not expect you to watch that whole video, but since you did, I hope your life will be enriched by the appreciation that creations, be they AAA titles or shitty memes, dont need to make sense to your perspective in order for them to have great value, both to marginalized audiences who benefit from seeing themselves humanized, but also to the rest, because in order to dehumanize someone else you first demhumanize a tiny part of yourself -- and art can heal that, too.

Can you just let some traumatized autisitic transfems (and others) have that?

First off, if you have to identify who you are for your statement, it's a bad statement.

Second, I'm sorry I will not be reading all of that, you communicate through videos. Like a MAGA buffoon, has modern LGBTx standards stooped to mockery. If you can't word your convictions when you have the capacity to word these behemoth ramblings.

Why bother reading it? /JK

I agree with everything in the video and basically all of you ideals. My issue is moreso that you don't have the right to push your experiences on others. Hence why art, is important, be it games, videos, images, anything really. Being trans and and autistic are not disabilities or anything special? Why do you need a handicap when talking. So here's me.

My fiancee is autistic and can't take meds for THEIR ADHD and struggle with gastrointestinal issues they usually entail according to my ex who is AUTISTIC and also talks purely about autism. Both of their roommates since I've met my fiancee have been trans.

Your observation perspective is skewed by your own experience, an internal bias, as is mine. I agree with you.

The issue is regurgitating rather than saying your own story, your own life and your own perspective.

Btw I don't have autism, I just have PTSD and trauma that have given me extremely similar symptoms, a doctor told me that directly. Rape, starvation, and near homelessness for parts of my life.

Language is an art that people take for granted when they had the luxury of education.

If your art must be explained then you have forgotten the necessities and essentials.

Lemmy seems to just be the new 4chan with all the temper tantrum trans, who have to much time online.
