Animal feed. Something like less than 5% of produced soy is consumed by humans.some fucking carnist tried to own me with this once, got real quiet for a minute there, before pivoting to "Well people just don't like how vegan stuff tastes!" yeah yeah yeah whatever

usually people are fairly chill about me being a vegan, that insufferable prick was full on reddit brained though
I was referring to
”Soy is bad for the environment too!” specifically, that's one of most common carnist go-tos.
most people i interact with daily don't know the reddit comebacks to veganism, including the soy one. Usually they just go" Where do you get protein though?
" and that's easy enough to answer
edit: mind you this is in Finland and a lot of the people around me are sweet older people and barely have facebook so I dont usually run into carnist edgelords
