Canada got by for a long time by an international reputation for being apologetic and polite, but if you want to see how bad it can get here, ask the average Canadian their feelings about first nations or immigrants. I would easily say 3/4 of this country believes immigrants are the reason for the intense cost of living crisis no matter how much proof or arguments to the contrary
As per everywhere else in the west, crackers just want an excuse to hate POC and immigration is the mechanism by which they can
