He has concepts of a plan lmao
Seriously though, fuck the two party system. Vote blue in 2024 and then work to enact ranked choice voting. That's a start. There are a lot of things we need to change (e.g., gerrymandering, corporate capture, legal bribery, insider trading in Congress) but those things will never happen when both parties maintain the status quo.
Yes, both parties. Dems play lip service and then don't do much outside the norm. (To be fair, Republicans don't even pay lip service.) We need actually progressive Congresspeople/POTUS in Washington, and that's not happening without abolishing first past the post.
No. Not both parties.
It's crazy that people like you say that after Roe was struck down. I didn't like Hillary Clinton, but the idea that she would nominate conservative justices that would strike down Roe is nonsense.
And Kamala Harris isn't planning to march brown and queer people into camps. Trump and his people are.
Sure, there are some things the parties disagree on. That's what they use to sow division and keep the system in place. But I listed four things that both parties engage in. These are just some examples of norms that are terrible for our democracy but that will not go away so long as we have this current voting system.
You asked for a plan, here it is: vote blue when you have to but the work does not stop at voting. Get in contact with grassroots organizations and make an actual difference. Or we can just tell people to vote blue every four years and wonder why Americans don't feel represented in government.
"Some things" being a the end of legal abortion the last time and a planned genocide of two groups of people this time.
You are really glossing over that. I guess you come from a position of privilege.
You're really good at sticking to your point and ignoring all else. I've reiterated twice now but you're clearly going to keep ignoring. (While also being sanctimonious.) I've already said we have to vote blue, what more do you want? Just to argue?
Because my point is really fucking important and you're just dismissing it.
Expecting me to just move past what I said because you don't think it's important is silly. You do not control a two-sided discussion.
My point was important too and I even stated it twice. Get off your high horse :)
The point that you made after you dismissed mine, yes. Sorry, that's not how this works.
And this is a really poor way of getting out of the fact that genocides of queer and brown people is really not a big issue to you.
