My understanding is that it's a British term for retiree. Basically just means elderly

I know some safety nets are better than none (and that this is a meme thread I'm dragging down), but don't fool yourself - millions of older people in the UK go hungry and cold because they can't afford the basics.

I think we got a similar situation all over europe, maybe not as bad and certainly better than most of the world but still shitty!
