Oooooooooooooh it's the news reporter from ME3 who's modelled on real life person Jessica Chobot. Imo the real issues are that the face lands squarely in the uncanny valley (Mass Effect is hardly photorealistic), and that she replaced the journalist from ME1 and 2 who Shepard had already been interacting with a bit for two games. (CW: Assault) Part of the reason Gamers were so upset was probably that you could punch the journalist (who was a woman) in the face in ME2 with a renegade interrupt.
