Finally picked up the Cyberpunk DLC. Got Pacific Drive as well.
Still deciding on:
Dead Cells - I found two roguelites I actually like this year (Dome Keeper and Hades) and want to see if I can go three for three.
Dragons Dogma and Stalker - Games with recent sequels I've never touched. For $5/piece I'm tempted to give both a try.
Dying Light 2 - Been in the mood for some dumb open world fun recently, and I refuse to buy anything from Ubisoft to fill that void. This seems decent and I liked the first one.
Dead Cells is an amazing game, can definitely recommend. I spent many hours on it.
The older stalker games are worth it only if you want the story. If you want to experience the gameplay you can download stalker Anomaly for free. Anomaly is a standalone mod that combines the 3 stalker games into one (minus the story) and adds cut content and has been "modernized" over time. It's a much better experience than the original games and the community considers it THE way to play Stalker, and ontop of being a mod it also has a healthy modding community.
I don't remember how beginner friendly it might be (probably not very because the mod gives you a lot of customization options before you even start the game) but I'm sure there are some beginner guides on YouTube. And for the price of free the only question is how much time you're willing to invest to play Stalker. And if you think the OG games will be much easier, not really. No matter what stalker game you start with you're bound to meet the relatively steep learning curve.
Hey, I also picked up the Cyberpunk DLC.
Pacific Drive was pretty good!
these are all solid picks and I can't see you going wrong with any of them, tbh!
I finally picked up Cyberpunk. GOG sale is going on now as well...
Dragons Dogma is really janky. But if you can see past the jank there is arguably one of the most unique RPGs inside the jank. I highly enjoyed it.
I agree! I tried it many many years ago on PS3 when it was for free on Playstation Plus. I just couldn't get into it and put it away... Then a few years ago I gave it another try on PC and pretty much immediately loved it. It's funny because when I played it on PS3 I had much more spare time to spend on games and get into them so one would think that I would be much more critical and selective nowadays...
I played through Dead Island 2 with a buddy recently, definitely recommend giving that one a shot if you like Dying Light. Haven't played 2 though.
