A reminder: Last chance to buy Forza Horizon 4 before it get delisted in December 2024. 80% discount. All DLCs are now merged into simplified purchase.
I want to get RDR 2 , Hogwarts , stray and no mans sky but I still have lots to get through so I can wait. Maybe I'll pick up something in the winter sale.
This girl with the cat cap is a mascot for the autumn sales? A steam's mascot? This character appears more than one time if I recall correctly
Just picked up https://store.steampowered.com/app/433340/Slime_Rancher/
Top review was "best relaxing game" and I need that in my life right now π
I will 100% get the exact same thing i got ever since they scrapped regional pricing for Poland: absolutely nothing.
i picked up Serious Sam Siberian Mayhem, Alan Wake's American Nightmare and Push the Cat with WASD.
Finally picked up the Cyberpunk DLC. Got Pacific Drive as well.
Still deciding on:
Dead Cells - I found two roguelites I actually like this year (Dome Keeper and Hades) and want to see if I can go three for three.
Dragons Dogma and Stalker - Games with recent sequels I've never touched. For $5/piece I'm tempted to give both a try.
Dying Light 2 - Been in the mood for some dumb open world fun recently, and I refuse to buy anything from Ubisoft to fill that void. This seems decent and I liked the first one.
The older stalker games are worth it only if you want the story. If you want to experience the gameplay you can download stalker Anomaly for free. Anomaly is a standalone mod that combines the 3 stalker games into one (minus the story) and adds cut content and has been "modernized" over time. It's a much better experience than the original games and the community considers it THE way to play Stalker, and ontop of being a mod it also has a healthy modding community.
I don't remember how beginner friendly it might be (probably not very because the mod gives you a lot of customization options before you even start the game) but I'm sure there are some beginner guides on YouTube. And for the price of free the only question is how much time you're willing to invest to play Stalker. And if you think the OG games will be much easier, not really. No matter what stalker game you start with you're bound to meet the relatively steep learning curve.
I finally picked up Cyberpunk. GOG sale is going on now as well...
Dragons Dogma is really janky. But if you can see past the jank there is arguably one of the most unique RPGs inside the jank. I highly enjoyed it.
Dying Light 2 - Been in the mood for some dumb open world fun recently, and I refuse to buy anything from Ubisoft to fill that void. This seems decent and I liked the first one.
I played through Dead Island 2 with a buddy recently, definitely recommend giving that one a shot if you like Dying Light. Haven't played 2 though.
Seriously considering Sins of a Solar Empire 2β¦
If you liked first one you will also like the second because it's basically same game. If you expected something more, like for example campaign, likely not.
I love the new animation.
Click the cat!
I'm on vacation and can't access my PC. what is it? I need to know!! π₯Ί
the cat gets scared and the delivery girl gets mobbed by deer, it's adorable
THE CAT πππ
I got Psychonauts 2 bundle for ten bones.
See ya' in four days, everyone!
Report back! I'm tempted to snag it.
I don't think you could go wrong for a tenner, I loved that game from start to finish. I watched all of the DoubleFine PsychOdyssey dev diary about making it afterward too, very enjoyable.
The first one alone is still worth a tenner. Absolute gem of a game.
FF7 remake is half off, likely max discount for the next decade
All three games will be bundled in a remaster for the price of one game a year or two after part three comes out.
Exactly, thatβs a patient gamer title.
I got Metaphor ReFantazio. I was so hyped about this, but the higher price made me wait. Being reduced by 25% was enough for me to immediately purchase it. I only played 2 hours of it, but I already love it. It will be a great adventure, I'm sure of it.
I just looked and there are some really good deals. The first Cities game is only $3, and the complete reboot collection of Tomb Raider games (including DLCs) is only $11
I'm leaning toward the Tomb Raider games tbh
The new series of Tomb Raider games are quite well done. A mix of brutal survivalist scavanging and combat, along with some interesting puzzles that feel at least plausible. The amount of uzi ammunition and pre lit torches you found in ancient sealed tombs back in the original game always bugged me. π
Currently considering Alien: Isolation at 75% off/ $10, Vampire Survivors at 25% off / $3.75...
Alien Isolation is one of the greatest games. It does start slow, but they're just setting you up for the nightmare ahead.
Alien Isolation is sooooo gooood.
Assassin's Creed Odyssey for ten bucks. Straight to the steam deck. Alien isolation looks interesting...
Does that run straight from steam or with Ubisoft launcher (on desktop, i don't have steam deck)?
It ran from steam but 'synched' with ubisoft, and synched again at close. So likely need internet connection for the handshake to authenticate
Debating on Black Mesa and Dome Keeper
Dome Keeper isn't too bad. Hoping they add co-op soon. Their next game looks amazing though:

Ohhhh so they're the ones doing this game huh?
I saw it some time ago on Lemmy and forgot to add it to my wishlist. Thanks!
