🤔

I heard a short interview with the opera houses intendant (if I recall correctly) and he was pretty ~~unphased~~ unfazed by this story. He said that it was not uncommon that a few of the 1400 guests of the opera house get nauseous during a show especially on hot days when air gets stale...

Sounded like he wasn't convinced the nausea during the Santa performance was because of the play itself.

Seeing this video I am 100 % convinced that break dance battles are the most wholesome form of direct competition. These two athletes treating each other with respect and fun while competing against each other for Olympic gold ist just amazing.

Well it's in the title... They were growing great but in the last days or so the leaves started wilting. They always showed some yellowing and I thought about nitrogen deficiency so I fed them with slurry but without success... Any tips?

Although they may be considered primitive by today's technological standards, they were very, very smart and accomplished tremendous things with very little resource.

They were not primitive intellectually. They were smart, capable and intelligent people.

This is exactly the point many people don't understand: People in the past were not less intelligent than today's people.

We developed more ways to discover stuff and more precise tools to measure and detect things and of course with computers we got the ability to handle extremely complex data. All of this gives us an edge over past people science wise but we had very capable thinkers 200, 600 and 4000 years ago. All basic principles of mathematics have been developed a long time ago.

I get that but why is traveling not a hobby?

Black Swan is about a ballet dancer who, driven by the demand to perfectly play the lead role in Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake, descends into madness.

It's with Natalie Portman and a truly amazing movie. I absolutely recommend watching it, even when you're not into ballet.

Edit: To be honest just watch Joker too. It tells the story of Joker becoming the Joker and Joaquin Phoenix did an amazing job playing the role. It's completely different from any DC / Batman movies and probably not what you'd expect from a movie that plays in this universe.

Both movies are great psychothrillers.

100-%-ig!

Hey community,

this is probably very specific but I try anyway:

I am planning on building my first DIY NAS and found this motherboard BKHD 1264 NAS.

You can buy it from AliExpress under the brand name "Topton"

It ticks all the boxes and is not that expensive. The only thing that looks sub par is the cooling. I am aiming for a silent build and these small fans aren't exactly silent most of the time.

So I consider changing the heatsink to something more confidence-inspiring and relying on good case fans.

My question: Does anyone know where I can find heatsinks that might fit this mount??

Edit in April 2024 for those who are looking for this specific board:

I bought the board and it's running my homeserver now. In general it works very well, the performance is good, it is stable (no crashes or any hardware hiccups).

The biggest downside is that fan control doesn't seem to work. The board has a CPU_FAN and a SYS_FAN header, both 4 pin but both headers seem to run at full speed all the time even though BIOS offers some basic fan control settings. I don't know if this is because of my incompetence or an error in BIOS but if you're looking for a silent build with case fans, this may not be your board.

Exactly! In the past, I would have chosen the red pill to change decisions that I made in the past. But today there are some things in my life that are not directly the result of conscious decisions, but that I would not want to miss.

Obviously you do as you like but a common way is to put then in as far as you like / as it's comfortable and pull them out slowly.

Am I the one one thinking this post is blowing the topic way out of proportion?

The post title is clickbait in its purest form: nothing is being blocked (from what even). There is a single issue raised on some obscure filter list... This has no consequences whatsoever. I am wondering why Protonmail even bothers to comment on this issue...

The German "Sendung mit der Maus" made THE video explaining how dish washers work YEARS ago!

It's amazing, watch it!
