I think the real master skill in getting good at something is keeping an open mind. I think any good craft has an element of rigidity that forces you to adapt if you don't fit to it.

That can be good and bad, personal growth and correcting deficits in your character is a good thing. But it's also very hard to do. Confronting yourself with a mirror can be painfully elucidating. Sometimes maybe even often times, what you're bad at is not completely your fault or not your fault at all.

Personal failure can derive from bad environment and ignorance, there's very little you can do about that except- keeping an open mind.

It's actually very painful to see yourself in this light and that maybe the world has failed you in someway, left you with the damage it wrought and all you can do is dig your way out of it. It's a miserable place to be in. But the only thing you can do is hope that the other end of what you're doing is worth the catharsis. Maybe this process will lead you in a different direction that ends up being more valuable to you in the long run.

Maybe being aware of this position is actually good too? Atleast you're not confused or ashamed of anything, the path is clear and you know what to do.
