Is shooting one person a mass shooting?
I heard from my mom last night that Putin directed Iran to tell Hamas to do the 10/7 attack. It was calculated to divide the US so we would be less effective in supporting Ukraine. This led to me yelling for two hours, which I don't feel good about, but I'm tired of explaining that when examining the world you have to strive to find plausible explanations for why things are happening, not something as fucking stupid as saying the people of Gaza were perfectly satisfied until a bunch of outside agitators got them stirred up.
Edit: She actually doesn't watch MSNBC. This is NYT brain. She used to be fine with criticizing media that promoted the war in Iraq, but doing that now means you're just like Trump.

I'm alone right now, and I'm really dreading my next human interaction. Do I smile and laugh, or do I act really off-putting and ask when Biden goes on trial for genocide now that Trump's done being tried for doing paperwork wrong?
It's worth noting that this wouldn't be necessary if the government of China didn't have broad support and legitimacy.
AP news wrote a lot of words when they could've just said Stalin shouldn't have stopped at Berlin.

I'm always kind of fascinated by people like Jessica Ashooh that despite being younger than me are rubbing elbows with the rich and powerful. It always makes me a little embarrassed with my lack of prestige.
But I mostly hate people like this. I've conducted myself I ways that I'm not proud of in order to make money, keep my job, whatever, but at least I have the decency to keep a low profile. Also, all my bullshit is small time. I'm not driving geopolitical decisions that kill millions of poor people. I know no one never questions these people to their faces, but even as kids, were they never asked to reexamine any of their ideas? They've never looked below the surface of anything? Nothing is ever even grey with these people? Their confidence is really off putting.

Is it surprising that a liberal has no understanding of class? This is the dumbest American shit, getting mad at someone paid a decent wage or salary for their work and then lumping them in with billionaire capitalists getting paid in surplus labor value. It's like them getting all worked up because Bernie Sanders has a weekend cabin, him and a bunch of 1950s auto workers all over Michigan.
