Not sure, I don't remember seeing them on the ballot.

Communist Party of Canada called it a genocide too, they got my vote. For Singh I think it was a case of far too little and far too late.

Jagmeet Singh, leader of the federal NDP in Canada, has officially conceded defeat in his riding which has been taken by the Liberals.

The NDP itself is also losing official party status as they were unable to gain 12 or more seats, and will be unable to access certain funds and lose special parliamentary privileges.

Since their high water mark of being the Official Opposition after the 2011 election under Jack Layton, the NDP has triangulated itself to what we see today: a party that refused to leave the shadow of the Liberals.

Well current government of russian federation is trying to whitewash the facts and alter history history as always. I mean they even have their own name for the war - The “great patriotic war” to hide the fact they’ve been allies with Hitler between 1939 and 1941, so I think it’s quite important to remind them of that. Just look at r/pikabu dweebs downvoting away at a simple historical truth.

And

There are documented instances of soviet squads dressed as Ukrainian freedom fighters during WWII committing warcrimes against civilian population, Poles and Jews to rob them of support from the populace. Good thing about these kind of affairs is that if they get captured they don't get the benefits of Geneva convention.

Please replace the relatively sane soldiers with these guys

But the achievements of the 1990s and 2000s—the high point of liberal capitalism—are unmatched in history. Hundreds of millions escaped poverty in China as it integrated into the global economy. The infant-mortality rate worldwide is less than half what it was in 1990. The percentage of the global population killed by state-based conflicts hit a post-war low of 0.0002% in 2005; in 1972 it was nearly 40 times as high. The latest research shows that the era of the “Washington consensus”, which today’s leaders hope to replace, was one in which poor countries began to enjoy catch-up growth, closing the gap with the rich world.

Wtaf is this. You can thank the state capacity and communists of China for the poverty numbers , not whatever these dolts think liberalism accomplished. And they're gonna ignore the immiseration inflicted intentionally by those very same liberals upon the post USSR states and Yugoslavia?

And I'm just a simple country communist but , rhetorically speaking, I would probably not cite a year in the mid 2000s as a benchmark for low war deaths, even if it is technically true they don't cite anything so the claim is basically useless. mission-accomplished

As for poor countries catching up with their extractors in the imperial core I just have to laugh. What do you think happens to your western import predicated economy if, say, the cobalt miners of Africa or the garment workers of Bangladesh , or the auto workers of Mexico all unionised and demanded the exploited portion of value for their labour? Or the states themselves at least took that portion in their hands instead of foreign companies. Let's count how many Washington bullets fall on their heads in the name of price stabilité sunday-friend

"my professor made me learn about my own country's barbarism!"

"He was anti American during the class about the time we tried to exterminate the brutes in Vietnam!"

" He said we could read Hansel and Gretel and have warm milk and cookies but tricked us and forced us to read Heart of Darkness!"

these are deeply unserious people and I wish the bottom left one in particular a very join the Marines and drown in the red sea

Edit :just saw that one was in 2007 but my sentiments still stand.

Another thing I hate Tesla for is the fact that their shitty cars poison the well for basically any kind of electrified transport, by way of their greenwashing these bazingamobiles.

Trying to sell the public on electric transport that's actually scaled properly to work, like buses and trains is hard enough without connections to tesla

Maybe the radioactivity of the water is overblown, but this feels like "I will publicly smoke one cigarette to prove lung cancer is overblown"

Ok so we're gonna talk about the effects that the alienating logic of capitalism imposes on us instead right???
