I think their biggest hurdle was that they are owned by Jeff Bezos

We all need to contribute to open maps in order for then to be actually usable. Some parts don't have any street numbers, and some don't even have street names, much less business info on them.

EDIT: We also should contribute to the open maps lemmy community and help out.

I guess they wanted a sort of tricorder pin from star trek but then added more features? Idk

I was just thinking of that...

To the guillotine!

Because posting pictures of corpses is generally considered insulting to the corpse as well as morbid.

I still remember when AAA games where $30 and that cost included the disk and case, sure inflation is a thing but with digital only these games still should be cheaper, not the same or more expensive than a physical copy.

Well at least the america part is between parenthesis, but fuck Google, Apple, and Microsoft for bowing to this orange turd.

[-] HurlingDurling@lemm.ee 3 points 4 days ago

Oh ok good. Yeah, I'm in the USA and I am trying to add more content as fast as I can into open maps so that these alternatives could be more useful.

Wait so it also shows that in europe?

I honestly feel defeated right now, it feels like currently it's impossible to truly stay private online unless one is willing to move to a cabin in the woods with no internet and you stop using tech all together and truly become a ghost and stay offline. Can someone help me feel like everything I am currently doing is actually making a difference? Because right now it doesn't feel like it.

During all this monitoring, I wasn’t anywhere near the rider. I didn’t even need to see them with my own eyes. Instead, I was sitting inside an apartment, following their movements through a feature on a Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) website, which runs the New York City subway system.

Good, now do the same to the turds threatening violence to the jurors

I've been looking for a weather app to use but every app uses AccuWeather which actually gets their data from NOAA (which is public and always free to use) and then repackage it for their own profit, so I would like to not give them any traffic if possible and go straight to NOAA. Does anyone know any apps like this?

Fuck DRMs and fuck these turds

And they went ahead and blocked comments now - "An owner of this repository has limited the ability to comment to users that have contributed to this repository in the past."

Fucking cowards

EDIT: I went ahead and reported the distro as malware. Also, it feels like the internet is about to split in a open internet (basically just like tor) and a corporate internet where if you don't pay the big tech you can't access anything.
