Hmm would anyone know how to do it properly with qubes on framework?

Well thats only slightly terrifying. I thought tpm was the fix to this since it will verify the boot itself but thats doesnt seem to be available for most systems.

Hows the ban gonna work? Im fully expecting this is simply a new way to sneak past a law forcing everyone to provide government id without people questioning it.

Also the vpn companies must be getting very excited at the new bussiness opportunities. Btw mullvad ia the only vpn that actually gives u any security/privacy gains the rest are actually worse privacy wise.

Makes sence if u think about it. We use comments as docstrings that the interpreter has an understanding of. Python lets u fuck with its internals (at least in an immutable manner) so why not fuck with comments.

Most intergenerational wealth is lost within a few generations actually.

There would be 2 things id do to fix tax

  1. Resource tax for every kg of material dug/pumped out of the ground.
  2. Land value tax based on the developed value of the land
  3. If i had global control then id do a 75% capital gains tax on all gains over 5million

I was looking forward to my late stage tax cuts but albo killed those and i doubt the greens would have done anything different.

Do i need to wipe the private volume for the template vm if so how?

EDIT: I figured it out was because the template vm changes dont take effect until the template is shutdown. Took me way to long to figure that out.

I would like to run code-server but i don't like the idea of trackers hence codium. I found this old reddit thread but it wasn't particularly helpful.

I did the whole distro chooser quiz but didnt help much.

Heres the things id like to hit

  • avoid systemd
  • stable
  • Wayland support
  • Minimal packages
  • no immutable (seems like to much of a pain)
  • full disk encryption but thats pretty standard nowdays.

Was going to go with devuan but the debian flavours dont have a stable with wayland yet. I was considering going with a testing or unstable build but would like to avoid headaches on a daily driver. Is testing/unstable got wayland and are they reliable enough? If so what do I go with.

Also hows the hardware comparability with framework i assume it wont be too bad to get set up.

Cos if so why can I see a whole bunch of mod actions on the lemmy.ml mod-log but not here? If it doesn't how/why would any other instance respect a moderation action by another instance let alone know about it?
