America basically has socialised healthcare already. It's just funneled through a 3rd party first, who jack up prices. Where do they think those premiums are going?

I get not wanting to get a new computer, but linux is great and probably won't require a new computer for many moons.

What used to be schizophrenia, is now just everyday life.

I loved The Staircase in the Woods, by Chuck Wendig. It was a great read. I couldn't put it down.

you do know how a cow has milk, right? She's pregnant or just given birth. They're not gonna let the calf drink the milk, because that milk is for us. Whether that's on a factory farm, or whether that's on a farm where the farmer "cares" about his animals. (protip: he doesn't)

same with my kobo. It VERY rarely ejects it. It will just say "unable to eject. force eject?"

despite it not necessarily doing physical pain and suffering to the animal.

Okay... but what about the male calves? Does a bolt to the head or a knife to the throat at a few hours, days, or weeks old not cause suffering to the animal?

oops. Just noticed you quoted that, rather than saying it. Sorry :)

I think it was numberphile, or maybe vsauce, who did a video on infinities. It was really interesting. I learnt a lot, then forgot it all.

I find it's flakey at best. Non functional at worst. I regularly have to disconnect then reconnect my VPN to get it to work. then the torrentio plugin will just uninstall constantly. Half the time it doesn't even find any results. I'm considering going back to a home server if this stupid thing doesn't work. Anyways, any alternatives? I saw that popcorn time seems to be legit now, so that's out.

TIA.

If your company can't function without you, it's time for a pay rise.

She is gonna be under a couple times over the next few weeks. She's getting some Xrays done, then she's gonna get a scale and clean on her teeth. Hopefully that's everything.

I found icloud-for-linux, but it doesn't include Passwords. Any ideas if there are other ways?
