Seems like a fair and reasonable response to a cartoon.

The religion of peace strikes again.

Great, good, gorgonzola. We don't do that here.

These type of articles are designed to try and normalise this behaviour. Not having it. Price is on the menu and is tax inclusive. Get fucked.

They probably should question them. Even something as seemingly benign as Paracetamol is not without its issues if used too often, or after alcohol. It can do serious harm. Most medicine can.

Another fun medicine fact. Australia banned the sale of pseudoephedrine from store shelves quite some years ago to try and reduce domestic amphetamine production. Ever since, all of the major pharma brands have sold phenylephrine based cold and flu medicine as a replacement. Our Therapeutic Goods Administration recently found that this preparation is no better than placebo. We're talking about a billion dollar industry that has been knowingly selling snake oil for ten years.

I guess what I'm saying is a healthy dose of skepticism and knowledge seeking should be applied to anything you are putting in your body or exchanging money for. The pharmaceutical industry are not saints. They're just as driven by profit incentives as every other business.

It's not just common, it's the entire basis of the platform.

Every dumb fucking talking point they want their users to regurgitate in the real world goes to the moon. Speak the truth and be silenced.

It's a nightmare platform.

I cannot stand turn based combat and generally avoid RPG's these days and even I think this is a ridiculous take.

I don't own BG3 but I've played at a friend's place and that game is about a thousand levels deeper than Starfield. If you like RPG's and mucking around with dice whilst you play computer games, BG3 is a god damn masterpiece.

Can't speak for OP but where I live it's downright dangerous and often impossible. Single lane in each direction, no overtaking lanes to speak of.

I find the arrogance of RV drivers with 40 cars behind them refusing to pull over and let everyone pass to be one of the most illustrative aspects of the boomer mentality. I want them to die so bad.

It was a great first season but I knew it would get cancelled.

If a show takes even the slightest bit of concentration to follow, and you can't absorb the plot whilst playing with your phone, then it fails. Not many viewers are looking for a complex, intelligent story...they just want to be double distracted from their lives.

I am presently using a super niche device. SUPER niche. So niche that I have been dealing really closely with the manufacturer, who worked with Qualcomm and made a specific firmware just to get wifi calling working for me in Australia.

I have quizzed them so many times on why they won't support rom development. You can unlock the bootloader, but the rom files are heavily encrypted. There's no way to extract the boot IMG so we're dead in our tracks.

The manufacturer basically say that they have to fight so hard to gain google certification that they won't do a single thing to risk losing it.

They've been pretty generous with their warranty policies so probably another reason is they don't want to risk anyone doing overclocking etc and then having to cover device repairs or replacement.

We use the same licensed VHF network at work for the last 30 years. Ever since our local cops switched to 'digital', 'encrypted' radio comms, we regularly pick them up on our VHFs across the entire district, regardless of what frequency we are on.

It's like their whole thing is leaking across the bands, which should not be possible given that it's encrypted but here we are. If it were anyone else, we'd be pursuing them for abusing the frequency band that we pay for but it doesn't feel like a battle that we want to start.

Evening, all.

Looking for recommendations for any Android games that you enjoy which can be played completely offline without a data connection of any sort.

These used to be super common once upon a time, but these days it seems every single game I try just doesn't function if you are totally out of service area.

Would appreciate any tips! Thanks in advance.

EDIT: Some great suggestions in here! That will keep them busy a while. Thanks so much everyone.

What an absolute legend. Also, I do so solemnly swear that any instance caught federating with meta is going straight in my hosts file.

You have been warned.
