Installed and set it up on KISS. It works.

The last Samurai is not played by Tom Cruise. He plays a guy who gets to know and grows to respect the last Samurai and Japanese culture.

Ken Watanabe as Lord Moritsugu Katsumoto, he plays the eponymous "Last Samurai."

Clearly you have not even watched the damn movie. Or what is your point?

But we are all good with a black woman playing the real life British Anne Boleyn?

Man, can't wait until we find out which white actor will play Barack Obama in his biopic. I mean, diversity is our strength.

Oh boy! ...Here we go, dropping a new Dystopia again!

So... What happens when it is wrong?

But... This is a good thing. I will take it. More FOSS awareness is great news. As long as it sticks.

Sadly, statistics sort of tend to back up at least a few of those claims, even if it is a silly cartoon. Even if people do not like to admit it. Example, in 2018, 69% of black mothers are single mothers. But people never want to speak about reality because they have been told that speaking about reality is somehow racist, which is not. No problem ever gets fixed if people refuse to look at it, honestly.

"In 2011, 72% of black babies were born to unmarried mothers,[5][6] while the 2018 National Vital Statistics Report provides a figure of 69.4 percent for this condition." The stats have not gotten better since then.

You know what would really help? More so then cutting actual food intake?

How about halfing the number of golf courses? Stop using grass and let more natural plants for lawns, stop the use of private planes and also just kill or reduce the Cruise ship industry to a miniscule amount. Plus other shit rich people use that has a disproportionate huge carbon footprint. Find it funny that I never see the news --or rich, holier than thou morons-- pushing for this. Nah, they go after our food. Rich people do not care, they can eventually make beef the price of caviar per weight? Because fuck you and all of us. Why? Well they do not care. They can always pay. Easily.

For example: Bill Gates is the largest farm land owner in the USA now, he and his buddies and his rich clients will all get all the natural milk, beef, pork, chickens, lambs, veal they can eat. You? Eat lentils and maybe crickets or give his lab grown biomilq, to your kids or eat his lab meat, like a good and compliant serf. Don't think, just comply and consume. 'Cause I am sure he ain't touching the stuff himself or is his family. He is not going to be the long term guinea pig. I wouldn't either.

https://finance.yahoo.com/news/bill-gates-backed-lab-grown-195311408.html

Carbon footprint of food production in the USA is 9% of total. Beef is about 3% of total. So 9 for both beef and crops.

Just the cruise ship industry, for example, is about 3.3% of the world's total carbon footprint. Let's kill that. Also private jet use. They can fly Business class, if they are not hypocrites.

Because, it does not destroy all waste, despite a cartoon claiming as such and gullible people falling for it? Even "short-term" waste needs to be stored somewhere for about 500 years. Sure, it ain't like the others in terms of length of time but anyone who thinks that is a cheap fact or trivial is an idealogue. Since they can exist at both extremes.

So the issue of the water table or general environmental contamination is not addressed the way OP claims. There are also higher costs and higher grade fuel is required. Not to say that there are not some advantages but the cartoon is just plain incorrect and taking a toodler's view on some serious concerns. The Wikipedia article has a list of disavantages for anyone to look into.

Objectively? In a lot of trouble. Real world, though? They are one of the largest companies that feeds/works for the American Military Weapons Complex plus they are also among the largest lobbying/donors of the Federal Government. Just behind pharma.

One step closer? Wrong. That line was plenty crossed when he had both his daughter pushing canned Goya goods from the WH, as a Senior Adviser(!?), and his son-in-law working in the Middle East file. Corruption or grifting? Why not a bit from colummn A and B?

Looking at the post at face value, and joke aside, it sounds that it was a one way conversation for 30+ minutes, non-stop.

Esoteric knowledge can be interesting. A sure-sell selling point about you to a stranger on a first meeting it ain't.

"Hi, how are you? ...Good? Great. Let me go on for 30min. on a topic you may care or not about and do so uninterrupted, and if you don't like it, I will make a quippy post online about it, okay? Like, for sure people will take my side. Win/win."

Always knew my unrelated OSM API key was useful for something. LOL

As a side note, OSM does trails in parks and the like with exquisite detail, much better than Google Maps. Just in case.
