Only sort of related but The Florida Project is a great film that shows children playing in the dismal misery of Florida, much like in this photo.

It's subjective. Remember that not everyone shares the same opinion 🙂

To be fair, he broke and entered a networking closet as well. But I guess that is a separate issue.

I imagine they will inevitably enshittify since the buyout but they seem to be good still for now.

The nice thing is I get to download the files so I'm not fucked when it happens.

It's very, very useful for people to share videos instantly. For instance, someone takes a video at the end of a dance class and then sends it to the teacher for them to post online after. Or two people want to practice something so they record a small thing and send to the other person. It's seamless and really quick.

Android users end up having to wait for someone to upload to e.g. Dropbox and then share a link.

Thank you. I was a little scared at first but I think I ultimately was prepared to see the word "dick". Pretty scary stuff.

9/11 killed "only" 3000 people, didn't it? These figures are orders or magnitude higher.

Second OPNsense. pfSense also is maintained by some pretty shitty individuals.

Poor Clint... That must have been heartbreaking to see.

If you are going to write, say, fantasy - stop reading fantasy. You've already read too much. Read other things; read westerns, read history, read anything that seems interesting, because if you only read fantasy and then you start to write fantasy, all you're going to do is recycle the same old stuff and move it around a bit.

Either word works. It's hyper-specific but I would say that most people would say "rung" in reference to the physical part of the ladder while "step" would be the part of the ladder they were on.

Again, either word works fine and nobody would bat an eye if either were used.

Good question!

Should we just admit that the rise of the far right is just a symptom of a long unaddressed mental health crisis in the US, and certain people exploiting that for their own gain, or is it too soon for that?

100%. The sickness of the system comes from inequalities and gutted education. Thanks, Reagan!
