Surely the only reason why officials would block access to a cave is because of dangerous hidden knowledge of ancient aliens. It definitely wouldn't be to protect artifacts from people drooling on them or keep people from dying in a cave because they have zero cave exploration experience and they thought they could fit.

Obviously there's a Stargate in there.

[-] Death_Equity@lemmy.world 14 points 1 year ago

The only stargates on Earth are one from Giza that is in Colorado and one in the San Francisco Bay on the Atlantis. There was another one that was found in Antarctica, but it was destroyed.

You are thinking of the portal to the underworld or the one to Agharti.

[-] harrys_balzac@lemmy.dbzer0.com 7 points 1 year ago

Ah...thanks. It's tough to keep up with where all the portals are.

[-] Death_Equity@lemmy.world 15 points 1 year ago

That's because of all the sodium fluorite they put in the chemtrails that calcifies your duodenum and keeps you from seeing the sub-dimensional broadcast encoded into the gas pump ads that they use to brief the sleeper agents.

Read your Bible sheeple, it's all in there!

That'd be so coooool. Let's go check it out! I've been to a rock climbing gym so we should be fine.

[-] prettybunnys@sh.itjust.works 23 points 1 year ago

I hope that guy appropriated a smart phone

[-] dumbass@leminal.space 20 points 1 year ago

Hahaha that dude randomly asking for donations to buy a smart phone really ties it all together.

[-] riodoro1@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago

Its for research, so thats good.

"Kemet" is one way to write "Egypt" in ancient Egyptian. The transliteration doesn't have vowels so the Es are guesses. The neo-pagan religion themed on ancient Egypt is called "Kemetic Orthodoxy".

[-] beefbot@lemmy.blahaj.zone 6 points 1 year ago

Sounds like a 1970s sci fi movie title. “The Kemet Orthodoxy”

[-] clay_pidgin@sh.itjust.works 1 points 1 year ago

It does! I'd watch that.

[-] VindictiveJudge@lemmy.world 4 points 1 year ago

How far do they go with that, anyway? The classic flavor was kinky.

[-] clay_pidgin@sh.itjust.works 4 points 1 year ago

Not that far, to the best of my knowledge. It's basically Egypt-themed Wicca, I think.

"The Why Files" is a blight upon humanity and one of YouTube's most successful, most awful sources of BS

[-] DarkThoughts@fedia.io 13 points 1 year ago

YT is choked full of bullshit conspiracy propaganda shit. It's completely nuts how your frontpage looks like after you went down that rabbit hole. People with mental issues will get completely sucked into this, worsening their already broken state and potentially radicalize, becoming a danger to themselves or others.

YT is already shit for regular content nowadays but this part of it is straight up dangerous and why I kinda already want that whole platform to just burn to the ground.

[-] wildcardology@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago

The why files debunks conspiracy theories. What are you talking about?

[-] kat_angstrom@lemmy.world 4 points 1 year ago

I have a friend who became a flat earther and cites The Why Files flat earth video as containing "a ton of good evidence". The debunkings are never so salacious as the "evidence" laid out in the first half, and get written off. :(

[-] wildcardology@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago

Did your friend actually got to the debunking part or did he skip that?

I mean there's this famous experiment that flat earthers did and proved that the earth is a globe. They discarded the results and continued being flat earthers.

[-] kat_angstrom@lemmy.world 4 points 1 year ago

He says the debunking parts are "what YouTube forces them to add" to the video, where the first half is the Truth and the second half can be reliably skipped. That's for all the videos from that channel, which is why he's now reading the Bible in order to learn more about "the Anunaki"

[-] wildcardology@lemmy.world 3 points 1 year ago

Wait... There are tons of flat earthers and conspiracy theorist on YouTube but aren't forced to do a debunking segment. What the fuck is he smoking?

[-] dumbass@leminal.space 0 points 1 year ago

The first half of the show is treating it as if its true, the second half of the show is debunking what he can through available sources, most episodes he points out the bullshit.

Its an entertainment show with a talking conspiracy theorist goldfish....

[-] VindictiveJudge@lemmy.world 9 points 1 year ago
