It is absolutely clear now. The DNC is a private company whose main function is to fund raise, period. If they also win an election then that's great, but if it comes to a choice between winning and raising money, they will choose raising money. They will never move to the left to win voters if it will cost them fund raising opportunities from the center and right.

Actual quote (video included in link):

“I dare you to try to continue your lawfare against President Trump in his second term,” he threatened. “Because listen here, sweetheart: We’re not messing around this time, and we will put your fat a-- in prison for conspiracy against rights, and I promise you that.”

Welcome to the new regime.

At the time, Carlson says, he was asleep in bed with his wife – and four dogs.

I have an alternate theory about those claw marks...

Let me be honest with you: I don’t like either party right now. My Republicans have forgotten the beauty of the free market, driven up deficits, and rejected election results. Democrats aren’t any better at dealing with deficits, and I worry about their local policies hurting our cities with increased crime.

Spoken like a true republican.

Democratic administrations are better with the economy than republican administrations in virtually every case for the last 75 years. Plus, don't forget that Clinton not only balanced the budget during his term, he left office with a projected budget surplus that Gee Dubya threw away with his tax cuts for the rich and unfunded wars.

As for crime, crime rates have been steadily dropping for decades and continued to drop under the Biden administration. In fact, violent crime rates are near a 50-year low!

That seems like a big deal. Proof that he knew this call was something he had to hide.

He put up an ad with these two girls' pictures and then claimed that they were transgender? What the fuck kind of thinking is that? Does he not care that his supporters would likely beat these girls to death?

I guess it was gradual, but when did it become the job of journalists to try and guess what politicians mean when they make statements? Shouldn't the meaning be made clear by the speaker? Right now it seems like its:

Trump: Speaks rambling gibberish saying something about a faucet

Journalists: "It seems like Trump is talking about the Columbia river and here's why that is significant..."

Oh dear gods... Please do not pull this "I'm going to work with the other side" nonsense. The republican party is morally bankrupt and it is no longer possible to reach across the aisle without pulling back a hand that's missing a ring, watch, or maybe some fingers. Just stop with this centrist bullshit!

In Florida convicted felons may not vote until their sentences have been served and they have paid all outstanding fines and restitution.

Okay, that is just not true. I don't understand how Former Florida appeals court judge Philip Padovano doesn't get that. Trump is clearly able to vote now under Florida law.

The law states that:

A felony conviction in Florida for murder or a sexual offense makes a person ineligible to vote in Florida unless and until the person’s right to vote is restored by the State Clemency Board.

For any other felony conviction in Florida, a person is eligible to register and vote if the person has completed all terms of his or her sentence. Completion of the sentence means: Prison or jail time; Parole, probation, or other forms of supervision; and Payment of the total amount of all fines, fees, costs, and restitution ordered as part of the felony sentence.

On the surface, that sounds like Trump shouldn't be allowed to vote, but note that this first section refers to convictions in Florida. The law goes on to state that:

>A felony conviction in another state makes a person ineligible to vote in Florida only if the conviction would make the person ineligible to vote in the state where the person was convicted.

He was convicted in New York. Here is the pertinent law in New York:

A new law passed in 2021, restores the right to vote for a person convicted of a felony upon release from incarceration, regardless of if they are on parole or have a term of post-release supervision. If a convicted felon is not incarcerated, they are eligible to register to vote.

Since he is not incarcerated in NY, he is eligible to vote in NY and therefore eligible to vote in FL. Sad to say, but it's true. Don't waste your time on this one, there's plenty of real stuff to go after him for.

"When I look at myself in the first grade and I look at myself now, I’m basically the same. The temperament is not that different." - Donald Trump

Yep. Sure sounds like an insult a first grader would come up with.

Trump's doctor, Ronnie Jackson, said the bullet "produced a 2 cm wide wound that extended down to the cartilaginous surface of the ear." We are expected to believe that a 78 year old man completely healed a 2 cm (3/4 inch) wide ear wound, that went down to the cartilage, in less than two weeks.

These guys are lying through their teeth, again.

Republicans, in one of the more moronic takes of the election season, say that if Biden is too old to run for office, then he's too old to hold the office and should resign.

I think she just overplayed her hand. Smith has already said that she has made a clear error and asked her to reconsider. When she refuses to change her mind, he will appeal this ruling and win and she will be reprimanded yet again. The appeals court can decide, if they feel the error is egregious enough, to replace her. I hope Smith is just giving her enough rope to hang herself.

Contact the lawyers of the Jane Doe who claims Trump and Epstein raped her at the age of 13. She dropped the case due to death threats. Maybe she could be convinced to go forward with it now if Carroll pays for legal costs and heavy 24/7 security for her. Trump would really hate that.

Fulton County prosecutors filed an emergency request for a protective order in the Georgia election subversion case on Tuesday after recorded statements made by multiple defendants as part of their plea deals were made public.

On Monday, ABC News and The Washington Post published footage of the proffer sessions, which showed the four defendants who pleaded guilty being questioned by prosecutors about their involvement in various efforts to overturn the 2020 election results.

Prosecutors said the footage was turned over to the remaining defendants as part of discovery, urging the court to impose restrictions on how the defendants can disclose the materials.

“The release of these confidential video recordings is clearly intended to intimidate witnesses in this case, subjecting them to harassment and threats prior to trial, constitutes indirect communication about the facts of this case with codefendants and witnesses, and obstructs the administration of justice, in violation of the conditions of release imposed on each defendant,” prosecutors wrote in their motion.

To prevent further disclosure, prosecutors said they will not provide videos of any proffer sessions to defendants moving forward.

“Instead, defendants must come to the District Attorney’s Office to view confidential video recordings of proffers. They may take notes, but they will be prohibited from creating any recordings or reproductions,” prosecutors wrote in the filing.

Last weekend, an auction held at his Florida home saw the item, described as "a one of a kind Trump Glock from the 45th President of the United States Donald J. Trump," go up for bidding during a charity event. Pictures circulating on social media show the gun being presented at the auction, with news website Meidas Touch saying that bidding for the item began at $10,000.

However, the transaction could land the former U.S. president in considerable trouble, given that federal law prohibits those under indictment from transacting firearms. Trump is embroiled in active legal proceedings, having testified at a civil trial over the New York investigation into financial fraud at the Trump Organization. The former president has denied all wrongdoing and repeatedly said that the ongoing federal and civil cases against him are part of a political witch hunt.
