Just curious if there is an easy way to back up my docker-compose.yaml and .env files. I have the following directory structure for my containers:

-docker
  -<name of container>
    -.env
    -docker-compose.yml

I'd like to copy those two files for each container folder but no other subfolders that may also be in the container folder (config, data, etc). I've been trying to get my restic backups to do it but I just can't figure it out.

Is there a better way? I'd like to have backups in case my entire server dies.

UPDATE: Thank you all for the advice, I'm giving git a try and so far so good!

They just write themselves sometimes…

My god it doesn't have to be so "on or off"! There are plenty of ways to create a post and it sends it directly to Mastodon AND Bluesky. Build both audiences because there's a good chance that you'll be connecting with very different groups of people.

95% of the time I'll use the CLI but occasionally it's faster for me to check a bunch of boxes in Portainer and restart entire stacks at the same time instead of going to each one's folder. Maybe a few other little things like that but you get the idea.

Ah interesting ok. So basically even though it CAN link all of that info to you and such doesn't mean that it WILL if you opt out of things. Is that correct?

I've loved using Backblaze B2 buckets. Been using them for years and it's very reasonable. Many different backup titles can use them.

Custom molded ear plugs. I can play for hours and still hear the full spectrum of frequencies and no ringing.

Ah so it's not just me. I noticed it either last night or this morning and had a feeling that it was because of uBlock. Oh well, that tiny glitch is still a hell of a lot better than having to use that site without it!

I've used it for a while then found it a little janky at time so I moved to FF. This post inspired me to try it again and I will say it seems more stable. Also, the only extension I've installed is Ublock Origin (Chrome) and it works perfectly. This is on the desktop version. It scores 100% on the D3 adblock test. I haven't gotten to play with it on my mobile devices yet but plan on it this week.

I love it. It’s always up and is federated with just about everything.

I’m tinkering between Homepage and Dashy. Both are pretty great

I would love to have this! Sometimes the same named group on a different server just doesn't have as much as another but it's still different content.

IDK if this is what you're looking for exactly but i've been using Dashy (https://github.com/Lissy93/dashy) and it is perfect for my needs. Maybe it can help you.
